Milo Gore are set to release an album in the later part of this year called How Do You Cope While Grieving For The Living? With that, the five piece Alt. Rock-pop band have been revealing a series of singles with music videos. Today the band have released the single Green Eyes.
Fuckin’ Yaldi!

The single Green Eyes is out today and its an eclectic charge of upbeat music with meaningful lyrics. It begins with everyone and the guitars take centre stage and guide us into the melody of the song. However, its lead singer and frontman Milo who sells the single with his almost story like singing and writing. My own favourite part being (in the bridge):
‘I’ve made a mistake for which I have paid,
I’m now truly alone,
I lost the friends I had,
And I’ve lost the one who loved me,
So fucked in the head am I,
So terrible at this game,’
The album was recorded in an isolated cottage in Cornwall, bringing in Peter Prokopiw (Mumfrod &Sons, Florence + The Machine) as producer and Andy Savours (Artic Monkeys and The Horrors) as sound engineer the troupe have created, signed and delivered a raw and compassionate sound. Green Eyes is about learning to dance on your own again, learning to love you for you and being content with being alone.

The album HDYCWFTL¿?¿ is a record of love, loss and drug addiction. With Milo also opening up about his struggles with mental health, he had this to comment;
‘If you aren’t happy within yourself, then you can’t make other people happy. However, If you love and accept yourself, you can then, and only then, begin to love and accept others too. This album is really about how I came to understand that.’ The album will come out later this year- 20.08.20
Like I said the single came out today and is available on many streaming platforms (as always Spotify is best). Please go and listen to their tunes, they sit idly with The 1975, Penelope Idles and a bit of Biffy Clyro too. If you want to know more check out their social media, and other songs by them that are worth listening too are State and Towel On The Door.
