Seems like there is a bit of an explosion coming out of Ayr which is normally over looked when thinking about music scenes in Scotland. Aboriginals, the band making a racket in that corner of Scotland have been busy.

Last year saw them release their second EP, Congregation. Last month they released there new single 'Back of the Line.' It still contains that fast paced, high optic and alternative edge that the band has been becoming known for.
It begins with a quietened down guitar riff almost sounding like it is being played through a radio. Quickly the rest of the Aboriginals join in and the song bombs along at a face punching rate.
The band have been doing well when it comes to gigging. Recently playing King Tut’s and having also supported Big Country. This new single was released on the 7th of February and can be enjoyed on many Digital streaming platforms. However, I’d hail Spotify as the most favourable platform to listen to it on (yes thats me being bias.)

The song wrings of Foo Fighters, Artic Monkeys and crunchy rhythmic deployments. Calum Brown sings clear and close to hauntingly as the other members keep the high driven energy on a healthy course. The quality of the recording is crisp and kudos is giving (took me 5 minutes of googling to find out how to spell ‘kudos’) to Andrew Pick for the warmth in his drum sound and the hearty weight it delivers in this song.
Originally, the band made themselves aware to us back in 2018 when they released Infinite Cinema. Its great to see them still bringing out new tunes. 'Hooked On You' currently holds over 20,000 streams and I can definitely recommend 'Wont you be mine' and 'Figment' from their first EP. As always, give the band a like, follow them on Spotify (or whatever the fuck apple music folk do) and we’ll see you around.
Ok now, please go.
Please.
